Description

Shear is a CPU-mined ledger whose coin, SHE, is created when a block is found and not before. There is no premine and no sale of SHE by the developers. Holders offer a silent ID; the chain writes revolving dests; amounts are confidential. ADMITv2 membership proves a spend is one of this book’s notes without naming which. Proof of work is ShearHash-v3. The live book is shear-testnet-v10. Mainnet is not live, and the public countdown is 21st December 2026 at 1400hrs UK time.

DINS is how this testnet settles a round. Eligible shares are the blue set, sorted by identity. Arrival order is not membership. Each eligible share is counted once. The mint is the spine pot plus the hash nanos of those shares, and that work is not paid a second time. The epoch pot starts at 1.00 SHE and steps down 0.01 SHE each 4-day testnet epoch to a 0.20 SHE floor. The hash bonus is one protocol unit, 10−11 SHE, paid to the hasher dest that produced proven work. Public pages show nine fractional digits, so one hash looks like dust. The wallet pin on this page is Continuum 0.71. ShearK-Miner is 2.8. The node pack on the site is Shear Sentinel v18. Continuum reads notes for one dest from that node. Spendable is an opened coin with 9 confirmations. How-to: https://shear.digital/docs/#/surfaces.
